Hey, why are Sergal faces so long, anyway? They don't have any front teeth, so it's not like they need it for biting. Seems it'd just get in the way.

Or do they have some front teeth that are just too small to normally be noticed?

As far as I can tell, a sergal's head is not really just a triangle-thing. I don't remember if CRAZY--- I mean TRANCY JAP--- I mean, MICK has ever revealed any skeletoral studies, but here's atleast something.

And no, they don't seem to have any front teeth.

Also, fixed visions. Doobies not included because they can see forever.

So, what's the Sergal diet? All sergal babies?

Yeah, that looks more accurate. Better drawn, too, obviously. Wonder what Mick would think. (Other than "hello it will are hello what!")

It worked in 'Legacy of Heorot.'

There's some theories by Unified Setting writers, but mostly it comes down to "things that bleed."

Fun fact: Cooked meat simply has more nutritional value than uncooked meat, even for animals, because the heat breaks down proteins, meaning you don't waste energy breaking them down with enzymes.

So werewolves are actually retarded insisting eating raw stuff?

Jerky, meats, etc. Basically anything they kill, including sentient races.

>>9592

They have very small almost unnoticeable front teeth in both more recent fluffbutt images.

I think that's going a little too far for the field of vision. But that's just me.

SDF, John's face is getting smaller and smaller every time you draw it. Might want to work on that.

First it was just the ears, now the nose is getting all stubby too.

And no, it's not just a straight up triangle thing. It's got a muzzle, but then it curves out, kind of like a spike on a shield in shape. Sort of.

I always figured they just ate small animals whole. In before vore.
Seriously, they're almost the right size to just down a rabbit.

I see them not really developing culinary arts at all. Military needing efficiency + Not related to survival or warfare = raw rabbits at every meal.

Well, if your digestive system is up to the task, (and able to handle the additional bacteria) there's nothing especially WRONG with it. It's just less nutritious. People eat lots of stuff that's not particularly good for them.

That said, it's probably more that werewolves don't really feel like sitting down, collecting wood, building a fire, and cooking their victims. For civilized (ish) people like Sergals, it makes more sense to cook, though.

If you're trying to handle a limited food supply (IE: everyone other than the modern first world) cooking is basically mandatory for the well being of a society.

Nah, I see them as chopping up and marinating stuff. Dogs love bacon and barbecue more than standard meat, I figure sergals would too.

I imagine them to have a sort of marinated shishkabob sort of ordeal for a fancy meal (chunks just big enough to swallow), whereas out in the wild they'll skin stuff, cook it and rip chunks off the bone with their razor-sharp side-teeth.

>I see them not really developing culinary arts at all. Military needing efficiency + Not related to survival or warfare = raw rabbits at every meal.

But cooking it IS more efficient. As I said, it breaks down complex molecules, meaning your digestive agents do not have to do it. You get more calories from a piece of meat by cooking it first.

Even the neanderthals cooked their meat first. It gave them an edge over wild animals, allowing them to get their caloric needs with less hunting.

Don't be ridiculous. They're still Sergals.

They could just pick up the whole spit and rip off chunks with their teeth, like a giant corndog.

John's a very young sergal, isn't she? I'm getting that vibe more and more from her.

Not like, a child, but around Joan's age. Something between ten and twenty.
