It seems some of you rubes need a history lesson!

Before there was RubyQuest, there was Crossing Pals, a bunch of Animal Crossing themed MS Paint comics that Weaver posted to /v/. Within these gems, our future protagonists germinated, although their personalities were a tad different.

Ruby: Just the girl next door with a severe case of hyposexomania. She desperately wants to get into Tom's pants.

Tom: All around straight man and long-suffering target of Ruby affections.
