"I really think you'll like each other," you say. "You don't need to worry."
"Welll," Bika says. "You're probably right."
"And to be honest I think I could do with some company to help keep her jets cooled a little. Obviously I really like her, but she's a beginner at physical affection and I don't want to have to outright tell her to settle down."
"Ohhh," Bika says. "Right. I guess I can see that."
You look around. "Where's my phone?"
A Bika by the bed tosses it to you.
You have a missed call from Britta the secretary, two messages from Polyphema, and two from Alan.
From Polyphema:
Doll GG told me everything & Oh my LORD
Let me know you're alright so I don't feel bad about laughing my lungs out
From Alan:
>DEATH
>BY SNU SNU
"How's GG's first day?" you ask, scrolling through the messages.
"Nothing crazy yet," Bika says. "Just riding shotgun on some deliveries. I'll letcha know."
"And how's our boy Pilop?"
"Things are progressing. Skirmishes have been won. I don't think I should tell you anything until there's something on the level I can tell you."
"Are you sure? You can trust me."
"I know," Bika says. "Don't worry. As soon as there's something legal you can do for me I will totally let you know."
"Is Soldier Bika ok?"
"Yep," she says. "She's never quite gonna be in shape to fight again so I've rotated her out to nursery." She winks. "You can say hi again if you want."
"So speaking of Bikas I was meaning to ask you." You pick some rice up with your fingers and pop it into your mouth. "Mm. It's not going to cause any kind of imbalance if I leave your male Bikas out of it, is it?"
"Oh, well, um."
"Like if you're a little nervous around Meg because you're attracted to them I wouldn't have a problem with it."
"You know it's actually kind of funny-slash-lucky you should mention that," Bika says. "I, um, actually-- I don't really know how to phrase this--"
"Sup, team."
Meg floats in. "How's your pelvis, Zack?"
"Still kind of jacked up," you say. "You remember Bika, of course."
"Well duh," Meg says. "We banged like five times last night.
What.
Why does everyone always stare at me like that."
