I'm tired of staying here, in this village. There are trees everywhere and we receive few travelers. So boring. Even the name is boring, "Shorewood". It's not a bad place to live, the people here are kind and have taught me much.. but isolation from the rest of the world and the interesting things I've read about it make me want to leave and explore. Heroes, villains, gods, treasures, artifacts of great power. I am not yet prepared, though. I make my way around the village saying my farewells and asking for anything of use. From the nameless old man I receive my father's sword. It appears finely crafted and made of some dark metal. I have never met my father or mother, and I was not aware they had left me anything. I am tempted to ask how he knew my father, but I don't like bothering him. It feels wrong to break his usual silent stare. From Ysa I receive a bow, a torn map, and a pack to help contain my growing inventory.

>"Here you go! I know how it feels to be young and eager to roam the world, but I've grown old. Settled down. You need this more than I do. If you need to practice with that sword, I'm here. I'd teach you how to use the bow, but we've got no arrows here."

I gladly accept her offer. She teaches me to properly attack and defend with the sword. I feel somewhat confident, but Ysa says that I need real training. I agree.

>"You're good for a beginner. But that's just what you are, a beginner. Some real combat should toughen you up. Be careful out there, too many bandits and thieves not to be wary. You better not die like a coward, boy."

She laughs before explaining some things about the crudely drawn map. The thin lines and circles represent roads and cities. The big city is where the king lives, a crown is drawn near the center. Just next to the king's city is the White Tower, a home for magic. There are many places she hasn't found or didn't feel like drawing, but most of it is there. We are at the bottom of the large mass of land. The forest is bigger than I thought. There aren't any other villagers that seem willing to help, but there is one with a message that needs delivered. A girl my age. She has nothing to pay me with, but says that the recipient will surely reward me. All I get is a description and a location. A tall sad man with gray hair and a big shining sword, last seen in Karsten. Great. She doesn't know where that is either. I accept her errand, and am now prepared to leave. As shown on the map, there is a left and right path. Which way should I go?

I head left. Along the way I found a couple of other villages, but no people. Just houses and dead crops, various signs of the lives that once lived there. There are no corpses or valuables in any of the houses. I assume they've moved away. As I finally exit the forest I am greeted with an open field. In comparison to the forest, barely any trees are visible, which is a very welcome sight. As I reach another branch in my path I see two men traveling towards me from the right path. They don't mind if I accompany them on their trip to Seaside. One looks like an experienced swordsman, the other looks mysterious and hides his face with a hood. He is carrying a large pack that smells like spice and plants. Seaside is apparently the city just on the shore. Looks like I'll be taking another left. Along the way we meet 6 unfriendly people who are now asking for all of our valuables. The mysterious merchant takes and unusually large breath, unleashing a cone of vicious flame and cooking them to a fine crisp. What once appeared human is now revealed to be some sort of lizard man. He turns to me, and begins to speak in a strange accent.

>"What should we do with him?"

>"He seems honest, I have a good feeling about him. My partner here is exiled because of his race. This usually isn't a problem because of an enchantment, but he just broke it. I had it under control Drek, you didn't have to do that. We must wait a while before continuing, but you should continue. If it isn't an issue, I would also request that you tell our employer we will be somewhat late. I am sure he is worried, we promised this shipment to be delivered yesterday. His name is Ragnir and he owns an alchemy shop in Seaside, the middle disctrict."

>"If you rat on us, I'll eat your face."

The lizard man bites the air, creating an uncomfortable crunching sound and making him recoil from pain. I would laugh if I weren't afraid of being toasted. His accomplice has no issue doing so, however. Drek takes a swipe back at him with his claws but the man bends perfectly to dodge it.

"Too slow. Goodbye now, young stranger."

With a smile I leave them and continue to Seaside. It wasn't far away. As I reach the gates I am asked to identify myself. Reality dawns, I don't know my own name. I am being sent to an office for registration now, what should it be? Hopefully something short and catchy but not pretentious.

Julien Stenger

Lets go immediately to the alchemy shop to give the message. While there, also ask where Karsten is and if he could point it on our map.

No. 423189 ID: 57f548

Julien Stenger.. that's a fine name. By an officer I am asked my name, origin, and work. I don't have a job, so it is suggested that I see some other sad bald man about employment opportunities. Something is also mentioned about filthy bums but I don't think it was meant to be heard by me. As I approach the man he looks up from his book and takes a sigh of relief. Another mumbled comment about bums. What is it about bums around here? An explanation is given of his duties. He is here to figure out my skills and interests, and then give me some ideas for jobs to take here. Even though unemployment is a rising issue, most of the few visitors he gets are homeless lazy goodfornothings who are tired of getting beat up by soldiers. The rest are arrested thieves who are never actually interested in getting a job. Crime is also a big issue here, with Seaside being the home of a thieves guild. The only thing I can do well is labor, and I would really rather not do that, so I say that I'm a skilled warrior. He suggests I go straight to the Guardians, a local guild of warriors who protect the people. They could use my help. Traveling merchants and explorers sometimes look for protection, and will post information or hire a crier. He has never heard of a place called Karsten. I ask for directions to Ragnir's alchemy shop, he says it should be in the middle district. Already knew that. Now I have permission to enter the city.

It's huge, crowded, loud, exciting. Many people are selling things on the street. Mostly food, tools, some obviously unreal items like a "god potion" that lets you become a god. I'm not joking, and I think someone actually bought that one. I see also a stand for public executions. It has been used recently. I head straight for Ragnir's shop, not bothering to see everything. Once I reach the middle district, it isn't hard to find. It is one of the few magical shops in the district. Everything looks cleaner in this part of town. Newer roads and better people. I open the door, nobody in sight, and take a look around. He appears to be a collector of magical oddities as well as potions and alchemical ingredients and tools. I turn to see more, but a large man with a thin grey beard is standing before me, Ragnir. I did not see or hear him coming. He doesn't look happy.

>"What the hell are you doing here? Come to steal? I'll have none of that."

I quickly give my message and explain that I was just browsing. He's still angry, but not at me. The travelers were already a week late. He desperately needs the ingredients for one of his new potions. Speaking of potions, he has a deal that I may be interested in. There are a couple of potions that need testing, and he would rather someone else test them. He will give me twenty gold pieces for ingesting either of them. Fourty for both, but not as the same time. I am very skeptical, seeing as he wouldn't use the potions himself. He says there shouldn't be any terribly potent or lethal side effects. Probably. Nothing to worry about. One should last at most an hour, the other last all day. He will not tell me what they are meant to do. I'm broke right now and I could use the money.. Twenty gold is apparently a good sum, with 2 pieces being the cost to stay per night at the average inn. A discount will also be given at Ragnir's shop. I'm not sure what to do.

Reluctantly, I accept, choosing the potion with a shorter duration. I have a bad feeling about this, but the gold is worth it.

>"Good. When the potion has faded, return to me for payment. I need to know exactly how it affects you."

A minute passes and I feel fine. Light headed, but fine. My next destination is the Guardians. I remember passing it earlier while in the middle district, so I know exactly where it is. There is a strong air of honor surrounding the place. A statue of a man in ancient armor stands outside. It reads "Tyreth, The Savior of Our People. May He Never Be Forgotten." As I enter I am greeted by a tall woman.

>"Hello. Are you here to join our cause? No offense, but you look somewhat weak. I doubt you will pass, but you are welcome to try."

That sounds like a challenge. A challenge that I hastily accept. She brings me to a training area where I am to duel a man with a wooden sword. It is then I notice something strange.. Everything seems a bit slower than it should be. He opens up with a simple forward attack that I counter with ease. His eyes look serious now, and he is giving full effort. I cannot match the strength of his attacks, but I can easily dodge them. This is making him angry. He charges straight at me, attacking horizontally. I jump into the air, stomping his sword into the ground with my left leg and kicking him in the chest with my right. He falls over, surprised and defeated.

>"Ughh.. You're pretty fast. You've passed the test, and can join any time you like. Just don't expect us to go easy on you any more. I'll explain some things if you are interested."

The rules are simple. Protect innocents, follow all orders from superiors without question, and don't practice anything evil. Guild homes offer free food, clothing, and bed to all members. Jobs are easy to come by. I don't know if I really want to join them, so I decline for now. I'd be excluding myself from a lot of opportunities if I didn't want to risk being kicked out. I'll think about it.. I suddenly feel sick. My stomach hurts and it is difficult to stand, my head aches badly. I make my way back to Ragnir so I can get my gold and find somewhere to rest. I describe the positive effects as well as the bad, which are only getting worse. He seems pleased and rewards me as promised. I slowly wander around looking for some place to stay, eventually passing out. I wake to music, sitting at a table. Across this table is a man with a flute, wearing a top hat and a grey coat. I am at an inn.

>"I took the liberty of carrying you in here, I hope you don't mind. Whatever happened to you, it must not have been pleasant. I urge you to stay the night. I have already payed for you a room. In the morning we should speak."

The man has an almost magical charm about him, and a sinister smile. I don't want to trust this man, but it's hard to disagree with free bedding in my condition.

I am missing 13 coins, only 7 left. Whether I simply lost them or they were stolen I have no way of knowing. I doubt the gentleman would steal from me and then do me a favor.

"I am very grateful for your help. I am in your debt, and I swear to repay you somehow."
>"It is good that you are so eager.. Conveniently, I am in need of assistance. We shall speak in the morning. Now you should rest. Your room is first on the left."

I waste no time finding my room. The bed is soft and comfortable, enabling me to sleep with ease through the night. I wake with the gentleman sitting again in a chair by my side.

>"How wonderful it must feel to rest peacefully. I've had such a leisure in many, many years. Instead I must wander through the shadows as a creature of the night, fearing the sun. I said it was in the morning we will speak, and so it is morning. What you realize now must be somewhat of a shock. I am a vampire. Don't worry, I didn't drink your blood or steal your soul. It wouldn't help me in my current state either way. You see, I have been weakened by a follower of Meril, godess of love and life. The bane of all undead beings. My power was nearly all ripped from me, I am but a fraction of my former self, more man than demon. But I am still afflicted with my kind's natural weaknesses. I want you to find the man who did this to me. Kill him if you must, he is no more than a tool to whom he serves. The artifact that holds my essence must be destroyed. If you complete this task, I will be the one indebted to you. And greatly so. I have been tracking the follower for some time. He lives in a castle west of here dedicated to the worship of Meril. I do not dare come close to it. Her paladins are well known for detecting evil, and the place is surely under some divine protection. That's why I need you. Never have I seen a sun worshipper rejected access to the castle. I recommend you disguise yourself as one. All of them carry a special pendant, but it is not easily obtained. They are considered precious to those who own them, it may be difficult to get one legitimately. When you have done the deed I should instantly know. Return here immediately. Any questions? Concerns? Ideas?.. Doubts? I would hope not. I have faith in you. Ha, faith."

Fuck year, Alucard!

So we need to destroy the artifact and unleash an ancient Evil? Sounds legit. Ask him if there is anything else he can assist with to make the task easier.
Do not swear that we will complete the task but tell him we will see what we can do.

We might want to ask what exactly we will be getting in return

Anyway, I am not sure it is a good idea to piss off a diety by impressionating its followera but look for a stone anywah.

"You would have me unleash a powerful evil? That doesn't seem like a nice thing to do. No offense."

>"Evil is not the best word to describe me. My very being is unholy, and thus I am seen as evil, but I live with some honor. I prey not on the weak and innocent, only those who oppose me. Vampires and paladins mostly. I do not see myself as some defender of humans, but they don't deserve to be slain like cattle."

"Will there be any negative consequences for doing this? I don't want to anger a goddess."

>"Meril is benevolent, loving, forgiving towards mortals. I doubt what you will be doing is appreciated, but if you do not blatantly side against her I am sure she will forgive you. That is her way. What others may think of you, I do not know. If you do this right, they won't know what has happened or who was responsible. If you do this wrong.. well, let's hope that doesn't happen."

"And what will I be getting out of this?"

>"Good question. It would be wrong not to reward you. My fortunes are currently out of reach, but I do have a bit in the way of equipment. An enchanted cloak, paralyzing poison, and two fine daggers will be yours immediately. The cloak's enchantment is quite a useful one. With its hood raised and in the darkness, you will become nearly invisible. Only the most perceptive individuals may notice you. Entering light will break the spell. You will also have the eternal gratitude of an immortal being."

"Any more useful information? How would I find one of those pendants?"

>"Steal one, buy one, request one. All sun worshipers carry them, and all places of worship store them. There is a chapel here in Seaside. If you can convince a priest of your faith he may give one to you. Be cautious of paladins when entering their castle, some of them are battle hardened warriors and inquisitors."

He marks my map with the location of the castle. He exits the room and comes back with the promised items. I am not sure where to begin. I currently have 7 gold, a cloak, two daggers, my father's sword, and a bow with no arrows.

Conquer Quest. Totally not a hint at future events.

My first stop is a bar, the perfect place to find someone vulnerable to suggestion. I did not find any men even remotely holy, but I did get directions to a chapel nearby after I bought a drink. I feel no different. Outside of the chapel I find no followers, and inside I find a lone priest. Upon questioning he explains that a great celebration will be happening soon at the Solis Sacellum, the most important sanctuary in the area. That must be the castle west of here that the vampire spoke of.

"I have come to devote myself to the ways of Meril."

>"A wise decision. Come, pray at the altar."

I kneel before the altar and begin to pray silently. Praying isn't something that I've ever done, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Please grant me strength and fortune on my journey.

A calming feeling washes over me. Not sure if it's the alcohol. At first I hear only whispers, gentle sounds, but then I hear a voice.

Asking for such things.. You expect me not to know of your task? It was I who created the device responsible for Vincent's curse. He has slain many of my men, be it in self defense, yet countless of his own terrible kind. I wanted him to beg for forgiveness, to finally free him from his ancient unholiness. At first I thought him stubborn with pride, but now I realize he does not think himself worthy. Please convince him to repent. Or don't.. Betray me, and allow him to continue his ways. The choice is yours. You may act with impunity. Consider it a true test of "devotion".

>"That aura... It is so rare that I see it. You have truly been blessed! What sort of vision did you receive?"

"I only heard voice, and I have been given a task."

The priest is absolutely ecstatic. He takes no delay in giving me a new amulet, and a book with the sun symbol on it. Inside are many tales of heroes and their great deeds, famous quotes and advice. I put the pendant on.

Should I convince the vampire to repent, or return the favor and help him to regain his power?

Forgot to post this image on the previous update..

I will infiltrate Solis Sacellum to obtain the artifact, then return it to Vincent as is. This is his decision, his fate. Not mine. I thank the priest and continue on my way.

With only seven gold, the middle district holds not much worthy of buying. A quiver, five iron arrows, and a small health potion are now mine. Ragnir's discount proved useful, had just enough gold left to purchase the potion. I exit the city to meet five others, luckily all with the same destination. Though my cloak is dark, it helps me fit in with the similarly dressed pilgrims. The trip goes smoothly until we meet a bear. Having no experience with a bow, my first shot just barely misses its head. While drawing my sword, I trip backwards and fall on the ground. It runs over, slashing my chest as I sink the blade into its head with great satisfaction and relief. I am healed at once by the party. It feels so strange having your flesh literally regrow and form back into place in such a short amount of time, as if the wound was never there. Everyone shows their appreciation for my heroic effort. One of them promises to write a poem about the "brave Julien Stenger". I look the party over and learn that none of them had any way to protect themselves, except for a mage mastered in the art of wetting himself. How fortunate for them.

We soon reach the sanctuary, and are immediately granted access to its grounds. The notably large, impressive grounds. I have no idea where to find what I am looking for, what it looks like, or why someone is now following me. As I turn around, I am greeted by a friendly and familiar voice.

>"Hi."

A girl. One of the pilgrims.

>"Thanks again for saving me! I can tell you are new here, most men don't walk around with a dumb look on their face until after they start drinking heavily. I'll show you around, if you are interested."

How should I exploit this newly presented opportunity?

I was hoping it would be me to find fortune. If I wasn't there to protect them things would have gone badly, and I enjoyed the praise, but being mauled by a bear is no fun experience.

>"My name is Avery. I was born here, so I know lots of stuff. You're in the courtyard right now. To the left is where everyone prays, above it is where the public sleeps. The front building is where we eat and celebrate, above that is a library and more rooms. To your right is where important people go. I'm not so sure what goes on in there or much about those them, 'cept most aren't as nice as regular people. They dress fancy and walk around like they are better than everyone. They try to keep people out, but it's so easy to sneak in."

"Have you seen any interesting things in there?"

>"Dad told me not to talk about this stuff. I've said too much, sorry. The event will be happening in the courtyard soon. Please don't miss it, everyone will be there."

I won't be able to get any more sensitive information out of her easily. The artifact is in the higher class building that Avery spoke of.. probably. If I investigate I may learn some valuable information about the sanctuary, but if I act now the event will serve well as a distraction. I am prepared for either decision.

I'll do some snooping before breaking into the place. For now I'll participate in the event. An hour passes and everyone gathers in silence around the center of the courtyard, a massive sun symbol. A light pierces the dark sky. It grows wider and brighter until it is unbearable to look at. It begins to fade, and as I open my eyes I see an angel. The crowd gasps in awe.

>"Thank you all for coming, you are truly Meril's blessed children. Go now and enjoy this night. Drink, be merry, and indulge with those you love without fear. That is her gift to you."

The angel slowly disappears, and the celebration is apparently beginning. Avery walks over to me.

>"That was amazing, just like last year! Are you hungry? My father really wants to meet the man who saved me."

I open my mouth to reply, but I am interrupted. She grabs my hand and pulls me away from the sanctuary, towards a home nearby. As I enter I am greeted by a large man with scars on his face. There is a sun visible behind his ragged shirt. He shakes my hand and welcomes me to a table. A feast has been laid.

>"I must thank you for saving my daughter. She means the world to me, and I don't know what I'd do if she died on her way here. Thank Meril you were there to save her. If there is anything I could do to repay you, you only need ask."

We continue to talk for some time. I learn that he is a paladin of great renown named Sir Reinald 'White Wall' White, his wife died when Avery was born, and that something important is being kept safe here. After further inquiry, he says that it is somewhere underground protected by a barrier which prevents all evil from entering, and is guarded by something strong. I am advised to leave if I cross anything like that. The sun will rise soon, should I search now or rest first? I am somewhat tired.

The darkness outside makes it difficult to see anything. I'm not sure where to begin, so I just roam the entire grounds. There are many other small homes, some lit and some not, an empty well, and a guardsman that warns me that it is not safe to be out at night. I follow a shallow river to a hole in the ground. It appears to be a one way entrance into a cave. While looking over, I lose my footing in the water and fall into a pool of water inside. I climb out and take a moment to check my inventory. Everything is counted for except the health potion that I now see floating above the water. Doesn't take long to retrieve it.

>"You look like you are enjoying yourself."

A huge talking door that I failed to notice until now just spoke to me. What.

>"It's like you've never seen a large magical door that can speak. I don't suppose you've come for any strange magical artifacts of forbidden power or anything like that, right? "Does it ever get boring here?"

>"Oh gods, yes. It is so rare that I meet anyone.. My only sources of entertainment are curious scholars and people who to fall into that hole such as you. It is so horribly uninteresting here. I've learned to make the best of it. You going to guess my secret word?"

"Is it.. 'don't even try'?"

">No. Interesting attempt, though. Come now, this is easy."

"Whatever. I'll be going now."

>"You're leaving so soon? I had more stuff in mind, don't just go."

I turn around to see another door with an elaborate magical seal. I pull on the handle to open it, but with all of my strength it will not budge.

>"I forgot to mention that little thing. I'm sure you've realized by now that my previous visitors found a way to escape, a very easy way. I could tell you, but you know what I want. Guess again?"

I walk over to him, look away and sit down. At first he merely grumbles and makes rude comments, but some time passes and is now yelling at me, pleading for me to just say something.

>"What do you want? I can't just let you through here. I'll give you a hint!"

I face him once again.

>"All you had to do was ask.. nicely. Argh, now I've practically given it away. You still need to know how to open that other door, right? I was always awful at riddles and puzzles, so how about a funny joke? I expect you to solve the secret word as well."

He chuckles, his face barely able to animate such emotion. He seems understandably, yet pathetically lonely.

Well, I was waiting for the reply to the previous poster, having the same general idea but op seems to think that is not enough. General advice, don't go giving puzzles, no matter how simple, when your audience is still so tiny.

We could ask it "please open the door", "please tell me the answer" or something similar.

Thanks for the advice. It isn't that I was waiting for a reply, I have simply lost interest. When my life slows down, maybe I'll start something different that I know I can put plenty of effort into. Here is what this quest could have been, ignoring the gaps that tie everything together..

Auraleus(First God King)
Original god king. Leaves mysteriously, new god king appoints himself but does not have the true authority of Auraleus.

Kes(God of War, Third God King)
Was a mortal, earned immortality by conquering the world and defeating the previous god of war five thousand years ago. Made a forbidden child(Julien) with Fate, angering the second god king who then slew Fate. Kes kills him for revenge and takes the throne. Erases Fate's fate(heh) from the book of fate to revive her, stripping Julien's immortality and rendering him impervious to a terrible side effect that slowly consumes the universe. Kes leaves Julien to one of his immortal followers, the old man from Shorewood. The blade he left is actually a vessel for another one of his followers that is sleeping. It eventually wakes up. Julien may decide to become one of Kes' champions and occasionally receive subtle hints that he is Julien's father.

Fate
A beautiful woman who rarely speaks. She is responsible for the book of fate that records important events.

Death
So overdone, I don't need to explain anything standard about him. During the later stages of conquest, a desperate ruler sacrifices his people to summon Death's army. Julien defeats Death in his vulnerable form and as a reward and may choose between immortality or some other favor. Immortality will have to be gained in some way or Julien will die before his conquest is realized.

Meril(Goddess of Sun)
Enemy of everything unholy. Would choose Julien as a champion if he chose an honest path. Rewards Julien for doing good things, being kind, and worshiping her. If a warrior, will be a paladin and have access to enchanted armors, holy relics, and battles against great evil.

Vincent
Despises other vampires and regrets his decision to become one. Still, he declines to repent because of his fear of death and regains his old power. If he is entirely cured of his evil, his body will decay quickly to what it should be for the current time, effectively killing him. Owns a large mansion that he would let you take some gold and powerful items from as a favor. Mansion guarded by soon dead paladins. If you speak to Meril again, she will ask you to kill him. You may use the same artifact that ripped most of his power before, if killing him is something you want to do.

Julien
Could have been any or no combination of mage, rogue/thief, or warrior. Mage has a huge range of skills, from enchanting to warping reality. Rogue is very lucky and uses bows, daggers, poison, stealth. Warrior relies on skills with larger blades. Uses heavy armor to be slow but very durable, and light/no armor to be very fast but weak. If warrior, can use rage to gain power. Can allow rage to consume his mind for greater strength at the cost of some sanity. Can make deals with a demon to sell large quantities of souls for new powers and rare demonic objects. Starts out weak but eventually gets stronger and stronger, growing in fame/infamy depending on his choices and moral alignment, eventually following in his fathers footsteps and conquering the world. Has no fate.

Companions
Every companion has a story and at least a remote connection to Julien. They are usually loyal and offer different sorts of advice/advantages to him. Avery will meet Julien by coincidence when she has grown older and become a battle priest. She requires a good moral alignment to be recruited.

An old castle
The current king of the first continent will task Julien with the reclamation of an old castle. The god of madness has taken fancy to it and nobody can stop him. Anyone who dares never comes back, at least not sane. The mad god is slowly growing bored of it and simply wants some entertainment. He puts Julien in a dream and throws many silly challenges at him until he is pleased, then leaves the castle along with the mad aura surrounding it. A skeleton butler named Winston congratulates Julien and informs him that the castle is in need of a new owner. For the sake of the story, Julien accepts ownership. Winston is constantly supportive and offers advice and strategy for the castle's defense and offense. There are many missing or damaged things that may be found or repaired to provide unique advantages such as a pool of scrying and sentient constructs that patrol the castle. Engineers and magicians may be recruited to create new and interesting things such as war machines or a special sword/armor, as well as people to defend the castle and create a town around it. Rumors will spread and travelers will come seeking work, trade, and safety.

Conflict
Conquering the world isn't often met with laughs and smiles by other rulers, especially when you're good at it. The king of the first continent realizes the threat that the castle poses to him, and will warn you. If his demands are outright refused he will send troops and assassins, eventually being assassinated himself, leading to a short series of others trying to claim the throne and being immediately killed off, until Julien breaks that cycle. The previous law banishing dragonkind from the land is immediately removed, the border is opened, and trade is resumed. Northern(dragonkind) rulers are pleased and decide to openly support Julien. Later when another nation invades, the outcome is uncertain and the north switch sides to ensure their safety. By utilizing superior technology from suggestions(guns, explosives, vehicles), victory is had against otherwise overwhelming odds.

Bad choice
A later task in the story will require travel over seas to another place. Julien may pay a large sum to ride safely or ride with mercenaries that simply ask him to do his part with taking care of the ship. If the mercenary ship is chosen, he along with other unknowing passengers will be taken to a different island and forced to play a game for the amusement and profit of others. Multiple teams compete to solve challenges and for survival against each other. In the beginning, Julien may sneak onto any team he likes. His default team has only a few people that are mostly useless and will inevitably die, aside from a swordsman that likes Julien. If Julien sneaks onto a different team, he will lose the respect of the swordsman. Everyone on every team, besides Julien and this man, will fail or die. Julien and the swordsman will be forced to battle each other. If Julien and the swordsman are on the same team, they will rebel against the game. Free from magical restrictions, you both fight your way back to a ship that is pulling in and kill its captain, ordering the crew to your intended destination.

Swordsman
Will remain forever loyal, so long as you do not betray him. Real name is Deyas. A very skilled swordsman, teaches Julien some things. Secretly the prince of a mostly desert continent destroyed by a powerful demon worshiping cult that is still looking for him. Has a "Demon Eye" for his left eye that lets him see through illusions. Disapproves of making deals with demons, and murdering defenseless innocents without reason.

The End
The current reality is consumed by void, Julien meets the "Creator" who explains that it is simply the personality of the universe itself, and is ultimately pleased by what has happened. Creates a new reality and puts Julien in charge of it. Players would then have freedom to decide everything about this universe, minus the requirement of logic and tedium of careful creation. Every single possible property of the universe could be decided, any rule can be applied or ignored.

Oh. If you're not having fun there is no reason to continue. Good luck on your next project. Anyway, sorry for not making things interesting enough.
