Chapter One: Finding a Teacher

We're introduced to Nirbilim, a young kobold with the dream of becoming a black mage. He starts his journey by searching for a teacher, namely Magun, a master in the practice of magic. Along the way, he meets Rojo, a female foxfolk to proceeds to be a complete dick towards Nir, but with good intentions, Rojo has the plan of having Nir use the mainstream style of black magic utilizing negative emotions. Eventually, they get to the city where Magun's tower is at and Rojo uses Nir's suffering to con some free food in a tavern. After that, they head to Magun who takes Nir and Rojo in. Turns out that Magun is really from the future (Year 2006, got thrown back by a summoner)and is now a powerful mage through years of study, practice, (winning a bet with Xom to never age helps, too) etc. As punishment for Rojo getting pissed and trying to kill him, he makes a bet with Xom (Whom he frequently makes bets with for shits and giggles) to make Rojo be unable to digest meat (vegan to the extreme). Rojo nearly ragequits on everyone, but the ever so genius guidance spirits talk her out of it, surprise d'aww ending when Rojo starts to cry, and Nir comes up and hugs her. Rojo hugs him back.
