Dwarves are wide, strong, but height-challenged humanoids.  They are often hairy and pride themselves on their commonly long and well-maintained beards.  They live underground when they can manage it, working with their advanced tools in their various crafts and toils.  Dwarves are generally shown as at least fond of alcohol, if not completely dependent on it. Given the popularity of Dwarf Fortress, Dwarves in tg/tgchan culture tend to be on the unstable side, with violent reactions to the most minor of stimuli, a willingness to risk life and limb for a dead kinsman's bloody sock, and a penchant for construction of impossibly large monuments.
 
Dwarves are generally shown as at least tolerant of [[Human|Humans]], barely tolerant of [[Elf|Elves]], and downright belligerent towards [[Kobold|Kobolds]] and [[Goblin|Goblins]].
